IBM Sustainability Software is responsible for creating software products that help our customers optimize operations and cost, while reducing waste and emissions. We are looking for a user researcher to help our B2B Integration product team build excellent customer experiences, informed by user needs. IBM's B2B Integration product is a multi-enterprise cloud-based business network that helps streamline, automate and fully digitize B2B transactions, augmenting the power of EDI with API capabilities.
As a researcher on the B2B Integration team, you will lead and contribute to UX research projects, drive stakeholder alignment, and demonstrate impact and influence on the product roadmap. Rigor, attention to detail, insatiable curiosity, comfort with ambiguity, and excellent time management will be critical to your success in your research project work.
Responsibilities:Research Planning: Work with stakeholders and senior researchers to define research goals, methodologies, and timelines for various projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
User Research: Execute on qualitative and quantitative research studies, such as interviews, surveys, competitive analyses, prioritization exercises, concept testing, contextual inquiry, and user journey mapping to gather insights about user behaviors, needs, and preferences.
Data Analysis: Analyze research data and derive actionable insights that drive informed design decisions and product improvements.
Stakeholder Collaboration + Influence: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including other designers, product managers, and engineers, to advocate for user needs and ensure research findings are effectively communicated and integrated into the product development process.
Industry and Domain Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest UX research methodologies, industry trends, and best practices. Build and maintain subject matter expertise in the field of Sustainability.
Growth and Feedback: Contribute to a positive critique and feedback culture within the SSW UXR organization, delivering feedback with honesty and kindness and receiving feedback with openness and a growth mindset.
