Title: T&E Program Buyer
Essential responsibilities and duties
The T&E Program Buyer is responsible for managing interface between program and suppliers,
anticipating the specific requirements for new programs (supplier technologies, geographical
location and target costs), and ensuring the commodity panel strategy is appropriate to support
the program. The role selects and pilots suppliers from the agreed supplier panel in order to
achieve Program objectives. The T&E Program Buyer belongs to the program core team.
Medium complexity programs (# of parts, spend, geographic scope, etc).
The main missions of the role are:
o Ensure supplier selection from the agreed supplier panel: identify and consult
suppliers, manages supplier RFQ based on panel given by the Commodity Buyers.
Negotiate or participate with the Commodity Buyer in supplier negotiations and
the final choice of supplier (leads sourcing committee process to select suppliers
from list provided by commodity buyers)
o Follow direct performance during the program phase: manage suppliers,
compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the program phase, respect
delivery deadlines and ensure that the program phase reviews are supported
within the framework of the Faurecia Program Management System (PMS)
o Knowledge of Injection tools, molding process, gauges, SPM's etc
o Manage specific mandated suppliers when requested and agreed with
customers
o Negotiate Engineering Change Requests and tracking supplier deliverables w.r.t.
Program need.
o Ensure sourcing prices are comply with internal cost targets (Gap to benchmark
and Business plan) track performance during the program phase for T&E until
SOP/SOW
o Accountable for validation of tools and equipment transfer to plants Ensure
efficient handover to plant team operations, quality/serial purchasing,
o Communication with regional buyers to get support on sourcing perimeter of
supplier in different regions /Making sure that the purchasing policy is applied in
line with Internal control principle
Qualifications
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Production /Mechanical Engineering or Master's degree
in Engineering or Business or GTTC, NTTF or CIPT institutions
Nice to have: Professional Purchasing Qualification
Automotive Experience: Minimum 4 to 6 years' experience in an
industrial environment, automotive with rich injection tooling
and purchasing of tools ,equipment, parts etc
Nice to have:
• First experience in purchasing or in program management
• Experience including an international assignment would be an advantage
Skills and competencies:
o Knowledge of dedicated product design, development, and launch processes
Knowledge of supplier cost structures and
o Strong and Fluent English in communications + written
o Good written and oral presentation skills
o Good planning and organization skills and International mindset
o Ability to work in a matrix organization
Nice to have:
• Knowledge of APQP and program management in automotive
• SAP or ARIBA knowledge
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Results oriented
