This role in summary
Strategic Competitive Category and Brand Architecture Analysis that consistently delivers architecture insights to the platforms.
Your responsibilities will include
Responsible for driving core activities in brand and category competitive architecture design analysis:
Create and maintain status, trends, and reports of competitive architecture which support Whirlpool global product attribute targets, architecture roadmap and product plans with specific emphasis on specific category and brand
Document competitive functional architecture design including architecture function, form and interface according to project plan
Create and deliver competitive commonization matrix with the Partnership of CAA Manufacturing Process Analysis team
Partner with platform subsystem teams to create competitive functional and structural subsystem, module and component insights of design solutions and technology trends
Partner with global EES team to create EES competitive insights of hardware, software, control systems, integration and attribute / technology
Input data into competitive component database to inform Whirlpool product complexity reduction strategy
Identify opportunities and solutions to improve CAA teardown project efficiency
Work together with CAA Category Competitive Analysis, Competitive Cost Analysis and Competitive Manufacturing Process Analysis teams to ensure project work is completed according to CAA project plans
Partner within CAA team to identify architecture design opportunities and provide input into competitive analysis strategy and competency roadmap
Partner with CAA architecture design analysts to identify brand and category gaps, needs and opportunities
Partner with CAA manufacturing process analysis team to identify industrial cost opportunities and to develop/improve cost models
Partner with CAA cost analysis team to identify architectural cost opportunities and to develop/improve cost models
