The Finance Team of MSFS is a critical function focuses on providing accurate and timely invoicing to Hedge Fund clients as well as tracks payment receivables. The team leverages proprietary web-based applications and work closely with NY colleagues and other teams within the division.
Morgan Stanley seeks a professional for a Senior Manager role to supervise the billing team in Mumbai, India office. The individual will cover a diverse range of responsibilities including managing Hedge Funds client invoicing, revenue receivable tracking, working with IT for system enhancement. This person will be responsible for managing month end billing process and sharing related metrics to global stakeholders. The role will include significant collaboration with teams across the globe.
Primary responsibilities
· Manage billing and receivable process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
· Implement controls and processes to reduce risk and enhance efficiencies
· Prepare weekly/monthly trackers and share insights with the global team
· Work with IT and global stakeholders to remediate gaps in billing system/reporting
· Work towards streamlining pricing structure for manually billed services
· Manage a team of 3-4 billing specialists, providing necessary guidance and support
· Ensure proper process documentation and create adequate backups for business continuity

Qualification/Required Skills
· Bachelors or Master's degree with 8+ years of Business experience in finance/accounting. Experience as a Controller will be an added advantage
· Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to convey information with clarity
· Excellent proficiency with Excel
· Ability to take ownership of assigned task and drive it independently
· Experience working under pressure and performing to tight deadlines
The role requires working in shift from 12 pm – 9 pm or 1 pm - 10 pm and following US Holiday calendar
