Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our Solar Sales Team. The ideal
candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, a deep understanding of the solar
industry, and the ability to motivate and drive a high-performing team. This role is critical in expanding
our market presence and achieving our ambitious sales targets across residential, commercial, and
industrial segments.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets. Foster a collaborative and high-energy work environment.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies, plans, and process to drive revenue growth and market expansion whilst maintaining healthy profitability. Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and tailor strategies accordingly.
Client Engagement
: Cultivate strong relationships with residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Understand their energy needs and provide tailored solar solutions that meet their requirements. Collaborate with the technical and engineering teams to develop and present customized proposals and solutions that meet client requirements and showcase the unique selling proposition.
Sales Process Management:
Generate leads through various channels such as networking, referrals, cold calling, and industry events. Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closure, ensuring timely follow-up, documentation and effective negotiation. Conduct weekly meetings with sales, business development and marketing teams to ensure effective management of the process.
Performance Monitoring
: Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to senior management. Implement corrective actions and improvements as needed.
Market Development
: Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Stay abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to maintain a competitive edge.
Training and Development
: Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the sales team's knowledge of solar products, industry trends, and sales techniques. Ensure continuous professional growth and skill development.
Customer Satisfaction
: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns promptly and effectively. Promote a customer-centric approach throughout the sales process.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
: Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as design, project management and procurement, is crucial for successful implementation of projects. Actively foster a culture of collaboration, ensuring effective communication, knowledge sharing, and alignment of sales requirements across departments.
Job Requirements:
Proven track record of successfully selling solar power solutions and securing customer contracts.
In-depth understanding of the solar industry, including residential, commercial, and industrial markets. Familiarity with solar technology, products, and services.
3+ years of experience as a Sales Manager or similar role.
Proficiency in CRM software, sales performance metrics and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities. Experience in building and leading high performing sales and business development teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
Willingness to travel within the state of Goa for on-site customer visits and presentations.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments.
Exceptional sales and negotiation skills. Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
