A Snapshot of Your Day
As a member of an international Engineering organization, you're building up and leading a Automation/Electrical/Digital Engineering team for execution of projects in a system integration environment for Marine, Offshore and Process Industry. Will be responsible for the managing and optimizing the allocation of human resources across multiple projects to ensure the effective use of skills and talents. The role involves working closely with project managers, department heads, and leadership to match the right people with right tasks and ensure the timely delivery of project goals. coordination of all project execution related resources (internal, external), the strategic workforce planning, alignment with the line managers, demand forecast, etc.
We're working within an agile / Scrum process environment to ensure efficiency and flexibility. Effective communication with the international team is a crucial aspect of your role, and your goal is to co-ordinate Engineering team and enable execution contribution of high-quality solutions that meets the needs of the SE industry.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Resource planning and allocation, forecast resource needs based on pipeline and allocate resources to projects ensuring balanced distribution
- Maintain a detailed understanding of team members skills and expertise
- Track resource availability and utilization and prepare regular reports
- Communicate any risks related to resource availability or conflicts with project stakeholders
- Identify areas of improvement in resource allocation process and implement solutions, develop strategies for optimizing workforce productivity
- Serve as liaison between leadership, project managers and facilitate regular meetings
• Create/support a team spirit with your peers in the global setup.
• Ability to communicate clearly and precisely, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a flexible, multi-functional, team-based, development environment that is comprised of both local Siemens Energy Engineers and 3rd party consultants/contractors.
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, electrical engineering, or equivalent knowledge
• A strategic leader with a proven track record in management, demonstrating a keen interest in leadership and people development.
• Total 10+ years of experience and minimum 3+years' experience in capacity, resource and schedule planning in a complex organization environment
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 planning software and MS Project including administrative tasks.
• Understanding of Primavera's interfaces to interface with other tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau) as part of the digitization process
• Drives digitization as its own throughout the organization by implementing data pipelines and their automation
• Strong computer skills are required, including Microsoft Office, basic SAP skills, and database applications (SQL).
• Certification through IPMA and/or PMI, which focuses on recognizing project management expertise, is helpful.
• Evaluation, definition and implementation of interfaces to various tools within the scope of digitization requirements
• Validated communication and presentation skills (English)
• Experienced in working in international development teams.
