We have an exciting opportunity to join our global tax team based in Gurgaon, India. This is a new opening for an experienced Manager to support the international markets for tax accounting, compliance & reporting at American Express. The successful candidate will gain experience covering a wide range of international jurisdictions supporting US GAAP tax provisioning, and liaising with a third party provider in connection with local statutory reporting and compliance responsibilities.
Responsibilities
·Responsible for the management, monitoring, and review of workpapers supporting the US international calculations for reporting and tax compliance. This includes, but is not limited to Subpart F, FTC, FDII, GILTI.
·Partner with US tax compliance team on the preparation and review of related US tax forms 5471s, 8858, 8865, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993.
·Solid technical knowledge of US corporate and international taxation.
·Demonstrates experience in process improvement and automation including but not limited to: innovating through new and existing technologies
·Musthave the ability to coordinate and work with cross-function teams
·Working collaboratively with the tax compliance outsource provider to support a range of international Markets for compliance and IFRS Process .
·Review of the RTC for LACC Markets .
·Looking forward for the Automation opportunities in the existing processes and improving them
·Leading various projects and initiatives for Compliance.
Requirements:
·Certification(s) Required: CA is mandatory
·6-8 years of experience working on international tax and/or accounting matters
·Big 4 experience a plus
·Willingness to work across regions / time zones & build relationships across Finance
·Excellent MS Excel skills and good MS Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
