This role in summary
The position is responsible to lead and execute design and development of Subsystems and product level projects by leading Aesthetics Subsystems which is associated with Mechanical Structures. Builds on organizational/process knowledge, understands business needs. Solves complex problems, trade-offs & prioritizes design decisions. Responsible for meeting product and sub-system level attribute targets
Your responsibilities will include
Lead to develop a deeper understanding of the product aesthetics attributes, Conventional and Non-conventional Manufacturing processes , Deal with different type Industries, marketplace & competition to create innovative product solutions working with Global Technology centers, Vendors, Manufacturing, Engineering, product validations and Procurement to implement projects in production.
Drive projects using product development processes as they need through cross-functional team(s).
Develop the best practices of Project management and Module management strategies for Aesthetics includes Console UI and Door/Drawer Subsystems.
Ensure comprehensive scoping of projects/ ideas, planning to enable execution of agreed plans and achieve cost targets.
Lead & own cross functional projects and coordinate with Internal and external stakeholders.
Document architectural trade offs and learnings. Project scoping based on engineering and cross functional requirements and physics of problem.
Interpret lab reports / simulation VPD reports to drive the design decisions.
Lead to generate and recommend the engineering concepts and effectively communicate to different stakeholders during Project/ Design Reviews as part of the product development process.
Drive engineering calculations as required supporting Design integrity.
Responsible for converting Consumer Requirements VoC into Engineering Requirements VoE
Create / reviews DFMEA, Tolerance stack up analysis and apply DFx (DFA, DFM, DFR, DFS, DFSS) methodologies during product design and development.
Responsible for DVP&R for sub-system/product level.
Minimum requirements
BE or BS degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Production, ME/MTech Preferred
9+ year experience in Product development, Process development of cooking products
PMP certification or INCOSE certification is additional advantage
Preferred skills and experiences
Six Sigma Opex tools and its applications (Certified Green or Black Belt)
Exposure in design and development of New product
Electrical and electronics Knowledge, EES Interfaces proficiency
Door and console design experience is must
Experts in Project management tools (PMP trained /certified)
Technical & Managerial Skills
Proficiency in designing parts in door, Console design, its processes and materials
Proficient knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and tools to verify design for assembly/ Reliability/ Manufacturability/ Safety
Project Management – Ability to lead/close multiple projects at the same time
Expert in GD&T, CETOL Design Standards, variation analysis
Conceptual & Analytical Skills with Expert in project planning & management.
Strong consumer orientation
Ability to interpret Simulation / Test results.
Very Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficient in APQP, OPEX/Six Sigma methodologies / Lean tools and practices.
Exposure/experience of working in a global engineering team environment
Team player, flexibility in adapting to quickly changing business task/project priorities.
Good business communication (written/verbal) and Presentation skills.
