Engineering Manager

IBM Storage Management team is looking for a Software Team Manager to join us in India to manager a team, product, and technology for our User Interface needs. In this role, you will lead with a small high performance group of engineers, making sure they understand product requirement, delivery needs, and deadlines. You'll be expected to work across development groups to understand dependencies and resolution of them. You'll work with Product management groups to define feature needs and deliverables. You'll be responsible and expected to deliver the agreed-on features and functions in the time decided. Clear communications of development progress and obstacles is expected and required.

Primary Job ResponsibilitiesManage a team of up to 10 engineers delivering all aspects of a Storage Management SW stack
Negotiate and defined deliverables required by the team on a regular release cycle
Ensure the delivery program, product management, and other groups are aware of our commitments, progress, and issues when they arise
Learn and lead the development cycle: from requirements gathering, scoping, and source code development and peer reviewing, to eventual release.
Work with a globally-distributed team.
Actively participate with the entire management team to discuss strategies and implements to satisfy or product/customer needs
Keep the team being managed informed and do the necessary thing to support a high-performance product delivery
