We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Control Manager to join our organization. This role is open for Pune/Chennai. It is current a Hybrid Model role.
Control:
Assume global ownership and accountability for Risk & Compliance (R&C) Control function.
Partner with R&C leadership team to manage the department's risks & controls through the Operational Risk Management framework. This includes: Oversee Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA, including testing & reporting on control standards.
Ensure testing methodology is reviewed & approved by 2LOD before testing begins; including trigger reviews and periodic amendments that impact the scoping throughout the year.
Prepare quarterly High-Level Assessment (KLA) for R&C to accurately depict an Operational Risk profile inclusive of all existing risks, controls, issues & emerging risks. Analyze & draw conclusions to recommend changes needed to mitigate risks.
Lead and manage annual Scenario Analysis exercise, collaborating with leadership to gather SME inputs, creating scenarios and performing loss estimates and coordinating with Business Chief Risk Officer for the review and approval before submission for CCAR considerations.
Monitor results on key risks, errors/near miss events, and root cause analysis. Analyze and determine appropriate level management intervention.
Work with other firmwide teamsand operational groups to ensure consistent implementation of firmwide frameworks and requirements.
Architect training on applicable policies and procedures concerning risks and controls.
Governance:
Govern issues management (e.g., regulatory, audit, and SOX) for R&C including monthly status reporting to CRO.
Oversee and ensure delivery of other governance activities (e.g., transition of issues management to ServiceNow), review of change initiatives, regulatory attestations (e.g., CRO attestations for 10Q/10K), etc.
Management:
Directly manage staff of 2, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
Be able to navigate in a matrix environment and oversee geographically dispersed teams.
Experience:
Strategic thinking / problem solving skills to facilitate the identification of problems, the design and evaluation of options and execution of solutions.
Ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team into consistent high performance.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in interactions with staff, peers, and senior management; ability to prepare executive level presentations.
A leader who is fast-paced, high-energy, change oriented and is able to work independently.
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
18+ years of total work experience, with min 5 years of management experience
