What you'll do
The IT Development Specialist focuses upon the development of applications / products in line with the technology roadmap and standards.The IT Development Specialist delivers development of programme logic for new applications / products or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications (activities may also include elements of technical testing). Typically reports to the Senior IT Development Manager of the Head of Technology.
Job description
1) Lead and guide the team to achieve their goals.
2) Motivate the team to work on full potential, provide technical guidance
3) End 2 end responsibility of SAP Basis service deliverables.
4) Coordination and communication with SO and other stakeholders
5) Integration of SAP HANA into different remote systems. Exposure to different remote access options in HANA system.
6) Experience in monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP HANA systems.
7) HANA system administration using SAP HANA Cockpit and HANA Studio.
8) Experience in managing users and roles in SAP HANA system.
9) Implementing SAP HANA Table management techniques - data compression, table partition, compression techniques, and load/unload table into memory.
10) HANA Installation, Data Provisioning, Admin, Modelling.
11) SAP BusinessObjects and HANA integration, Design document, RFPs, and estimation plans.
12) Experience with high availability and backup mechanism.
13) Implementing SAP HANA Security mechanism, HANA XS Application service, and monitoring of HANA system.
• 7+ years' experience in SAP or related field & 3 years' experience with HANA; SAP certified HANA technology specialist preferred
• Demonstrated ability with these skills: SAP HANA installation and HANA system migration, SAP systems, in memory database technology as well as hardware, SAP administration, Database Administration (DBA), cloud experience and Linux knowledge
• Knowledge on any SAP New Dimension products like Portal, ECC, PI & Solution Manager
• Good experience as DBA on Unix/DB2
• Willing to work in 24 7 environments & customer focused
• Fluent in the English language (verbal and written)
• Candidate must have good communicative skills
• SAP SOLMAN, ECC6.0,PI/PO,Portal, Oracle will be added advantage.SAP HANA Certified & Oracle DBA
