Associate Instructional Designer

The Associate Instructional Designer or Learning Experience Designer works to assist Instructional Designers in the design, development, and evaluation of instructionally-sound learning and performance interventions.

Your primary responsibilities include: Assist in the development of instructionally sound learning experiences designed to close performance gaps.
Assist in the development of digital training assets using the most current practices, tools, and methodologies.
Communicate throughout the development process with project management and team members.
Serve as an active mentee to HCS LD Instructional Designers to improve design knowledge, technical skills, and overall performance
Assist the lead Instructional Designer in the following tasks:Write and evaluate learning or performance objectives based on needs analysis, requirement gathering, and project scope.
Leverage adult learning theory and client scope to select and implement instructional strategies.
Create instructional design documents.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Gather content from client source materials and SME interviews.
Organize learning content into meaningful chunks.
Design evaluation instruments (such as assessment questions or surveys) to measure learning effectiveness and improve new or existing learning experiences.
Communicate regularly with the Lead LED/ID and Project Manager, reporting progress and staying within project hour allocations while adhering to budget limits.
Proofread, edit, and update all learning deliverables regularly.
