Core competencies, knowledge and experience
Candidate with 6+ experience in the data warehousing area with exposure to large data warehousing projects.
Experience on data architecture, data management and designing BI solutions, proposing multiple options for best solutions
Exceptional data manipulation and analysis techniques; comfortable using very large (>10's millions of rows) datasets, containing both structured and unstructured data
Experience on leading RDBMS like Oracle, Teradata and Big Data projects.
Ability to understand and interpret solution architecture using Cloud technologies
Hands on with source to target transformation design and implementation reviews
Data Architecture - LDM/ PDM. Ability to understand and implement logical and physical data models (normalized as well de-normalized model), with Many-to-Many Relationships, role attributes and Hierarchies in BI Tool
Good communication skills
Flexibility and problem solving
Previous experience in GCP and Telecom would be a distinct advantage
Role Purpose:
• Working on the D&A transformation programme to migrate all D&A data to Google Cloud across our Operating companies across Europe. You will be part of the workstream which delivers end-reporting to the Local Market D&A teams, and thereby enabling the decommissioning of the legacy reporting stack and on-premise data warehouses, with the help of a team of Data Engineers and Qlik developers.
• Deliver Data Management solutions with the help of a team of Data Analysts and BI developers
• Drive Local Market transformation and transition from legacy technologies to Cloud
• Develop a deep knowledge on the data architecture and model of the market supported
• Propose and develop transition strategy and planning for Local Market movement to Cloud and related strategic initiatives
• Develop & manage deep engagement with relevant stakeholders from the supported market
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Analysis, Classification and Consolidation of requirements from a solution design point of view.
• Work in reverse engineering exercise for legacy data management and reporting solutions
• Translation of Business Requirements into a solution design as basis for the further development process.
• Identification, definition and specification of data transformation and aggregation procedures
• Alignment of solution design decisions with lead information architect and with IT.
• Participate in design & Review of solutions
• Perform data analysis and fine tune the transformation rules for further development using SQL or ETL tools.
• Architectural Design, concepts and strategies for future development of the BI application landscape
• Interfaces with Customers and lead designers.
