We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President to join our Global Network Management (GNM) team. This role is located in Pune –HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Cash Correspondent Monitoring and Oversight: Manage the oversight of all cash correspondent banks in GNM's network aligned our control framework requirements, to measure & improve performance levels. Responsible for strategy, commercial negotiations with local market providers & for bringing the organization closer to the market; driving, anticipating & reacting in an agile way to change in the market via:Cyclical due diligence on cash correspondent network
Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ) review, challenge, and follow-up
Local market subject matter expertise
Navigating changes in local market developments and challenges
Source and deliver market intelligence
Suitability assessment of new providers
Development, production, and enhancement of existing Management Information.
Change Management & Digital Expansion:Responsible for supporting strategic projects including digitization initiatives through to implementation. Aligns to & supports the implementation of the foundational data and digital agenda which aims to create a new ecosystem for GNM focused on three key pillars:Enhance / remove legacy applications.
Partnering with 3rd Party for Digital DDQ & Service Level Agreements (SLA)
Supporting development of performance related dashboards
DDR Accountabilities:Maintenance of the GNM's Golden Source & Due Diligence repositories, ensuring a robust control environment is always perpetuated with a continuous focus on the department, and the firm's, regulatory obligations.
Monitor and analyse key milestones associated with the execution of GNM's cash and custody due diligence frameworks.
Where necessary, provides analysis and support for the selection / monitoring of sub-custodians.
Be the main point of contact with service providers related to the issuance of DDQs and administration of service provider's user profiles within the GNM's SubHub application.
Work with service providers to ensure core due diligence records are collated and tracked in an accurate and timely manner.
Works collaboratively with various internal stakeholders within and beyond the GNM function ensuring required approvals are collated and tracked accurately and timely.
Usage, development and enhancement of DDR team's processes, procedures, tools, and applications – including Microsoft products such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Office & Visio.
Consults/interacts with internal business partners such as Operations, Legal, Risk and Compliance when required.
Ensures completion of various daily/ weekly/ monthly tasks from a regulatory and compliance perspective. (CASS, credit ratings review etc.)
Ensures an efficient and timely production of the regulatory/compliance internal and client quarterly/ end of year reporting for Global Network Management.
Contributes to the subcustody relationships monitoring process and gathers documents for a selected number of markets.
Develops plans, tracks, and reports on subcustody relationships monitoring.
Creates and maintains regular communication with the Network Managers and third-party vendors.
Advise management on risk / regulatory consequences in case of issues.
Expected to gain a full understanding of Global Asset Safety and in particular the Client Asset Protection regimes that exist under CASS, CAP, MiFID, AIFMD, UCITS, MPFA, RG133, FCM 17f-5 & 17f-7.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced / graduate degree is preferred.
5-7 years of appropriate work experience, preferably banking industry experience in global custody network management, product management, risk, compliance, operations, or client service management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required, comfortable presenting to internal stakeholders and management.
Strong analytical, process flow and operational mapping expertise.
Self-motivated, takes ownership and pride in producing work of the highest calibre.
Team player with a flexible attitude and ability to make extensive contributions to the overall success of the team.
Ability to foster new relationships and work collaboratively with others.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
English required; additional foreign language skills would be an advantage.
