We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Data Scientist - to join our team Business Analytics & Insights. This role is in Pune, Maharashtra - HYBRID Mode.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Leads complex initiatives with direct strategic impact. Maintains and grows cross organizational relationships to further the development of data science across the enterprise. Establishes relationships to obtain data and subject knowledge needed to support advanced analytics. Conducts studies to provide additional facts needed to make informed decisions regarding organizational and functional effectiveness with data decisioning.
Develops consultative partnerships with internal teams to understand their strategic objectives, key performance indicators and reporting requirements.
Extracts business insights to guide direction of learning activities and drive organizational efficiencies, effectiveness and outcomes.
Maintains knowledge of company's total computing environment and planned changes to develop meaningful data science products.
Stays abreast of technological innovations and trends and identifies areas of improvement across BNY and externally to academic and vendor relationships.
Collaborates with and supports leaders and their teams from multiple areas of expertise to ensure strategies and data science products are aligned and support business and operating results.
Leadership in Model Development. Spearhead the development of advanced machine learning and predictive modelling strategies from scratch, enhancing business decision making and customer experience
Foster cross departmental collaboration to seamlessly integrate ML and predictive analytics into core business processes
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Advanced degree in STEM engineering degrees, or equivalent work experience with experience preferred in related fields.
Demonstrable expertise in Machine Learning and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
Expertise in programming languages and tools such as SQL, Python, R.
Ability to communicate complex topics and methodologies to a wide audience in concise and clear terms.
7+ years of related experience required
Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Strong deductive reasoning & diagnostic problem-solving skills.
Possess good interpersonal and communications skills
