Role Overview:
As a Testing Team Lead / Test Engineer for Substation Automation Systems, will be responsible for overseeing the testing of Substation Automation Systems across various voltage levels for both domestic and international applications. This role will encompass multiple project phases, including understanding client requirements, interpreting project-specific documents, preparing RTU & HMI configurations based on approved documents, conducting testing, and facilitating customer inspections at the factory. Additionally, The team lead will support the Project Management, Engineering, and Commissioning teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the automation testing team, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Lead the configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Substation Automation products and systems.
- Client Requirements: Analyze and interpret client requirements to ensure project alignment.
- System Architectures: Possess a thorough understanding of different architectures, including RSTP, PRP, and HSR.
- Networking: Configure and test Ethernet switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Communication Protocols: Work with various communication types such as Ethernet, Fiber Optic, Serial (RS232/RS485), and PLCC.
- Substation Automation: Expertise in Substation Automation and Communication Protocols, including SNMP, SNTP, Modbus, IEC 60870-5-103, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101, and IEC 60870-5-104.
- Technical Documentation: Read and interpret panel drawings/schematics and verify technical compliance for hardware/software systems.
- HMI Configuration: Prepare HMI configurations, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), System Architecture, Bay Views, and Interlock Views.
- RTU Systems: Configure and test RTU systems (A8000) and Device Manager.
- System Integration: Test Substation Automation Systems and integrate them with various IEDs, meters, and devices.
- Customer Engagement: Manage Customer FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and ensure inspection compliance.
- Problem Solving: Employ critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
- Collaboration Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new solutions and technologies, driving innovation in product offerings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 15-20 years of experience in the configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Substation Automation products/systems.
- Proficient in understanding and analyzing client requirements.
- Expertise in RSTP, PRP, and HSR architectures.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and testing Ethernet switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of various communication protocols, including SNMP, SNTP, Modbus, IEC 60870-5-103, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101, and IEC 60870-5-104.
- Ability to read and interpret panel drawings/schematics.
- Experience in preparing HMI configurations, including SLD, System Architecture, Bay Views, and Interlock Views.
- Hands-on experience with RTU systems (A8000) and Device Manager configuration and testing.
- Proven experience in the testing and integration of SAS systems with different types of IEDs/meters/devices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a capacity to lead an automation testing team effectively.
- Strong critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team, demonstrating agility, resilience, and sincerity.
- Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge in new areas.
