Position: Sustainability Manager @ IAA
Key Responsibilities:
Sustainability Strategy Development and Implementation:
· Formulate and execute the segment IAA's sustainability strategy, aligning with corporate objectives.
· Collaborate with headquarters and various internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives.
Business Integration of Sustainability:
· Design and propose innovative business approaches to position sustainability as a core value proposition for mid- and long-term growth.
· Identify and implement methodologies to integrate sustainability into the portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational targets.
Sustainability Programs and Initiatives:
· Plan, execute, and report on sustainability programs, including initiatives like circular economy projects across business areas.
· Monitor and ensure compliance with regional or local sustainability regulations and laws.
Communication and Advocacy:
· Develop and implement communication strategies in collaboration with the Communications team to promote sustainability goals.
· Act as an advocate for sustainability trends, ensuring the organization remains ahead of industry developments.
Leadership and Collaboration:
· Lead and mentor sustainability professionals within assigned units, fostering a creative, pragmatic, and cooperative work environment.
· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and align efforts with international stakeholders.
Market and Customer Insights:
· Maintain a deep understanding of customer solutions, market trends, and developments to inform sustainability strategies.
· Translate sustainability efforts into viable business cases, demonstrating strategic and entrepreneurial thinking.
Cross-Functional and International Expertise:
· Bring 15+ years of experience in the industry, having worked across multiple business domains including:
Sales and marketing
Product management
Engagement with R&D and manufacturing units
Collaboration with logistics teams
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with international teams and adapt to global business environments.
Technical Skills:
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create detailed analyses and impactful presentations to support sustainability initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
· Proven experience of 15+ years in industry, handling various aspects of business operations.
· Strong ability to work with international teams and foster global collaboration.
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically and act entrepreneurially.
· Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and leadership.
· Comprehensive understanding of sustainability principles and their application in a business context.
· Ability to monitor external sustainability trends and translate them into actionable business strategies.
· Creativity, pragmatism, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· Expertise in circularity and other innovative sustainability concepts.
· Advanced working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
