JR64364 Sr. Manager, SSD Sofware Development
Job Responsibilities:
Provides technical leadership as appropriate for SSD Test Development activities and to the team through mentoring, training, and managing the activities of the team.
Manages and leads project scoping and scheduling for development and testing activities; tracks the progress of individual tasks and alerts management and stakeholders of concerns meeting schedules.
Maintains an awareness of and researches new technologies, trends, architectures, and implementation techniques in support of efficient and effective SSD testing solutions.
Coordinates and prioritizes testing of new software under development and of production software in the field.
Participate in improving Code Quality – Refactoring, removing cluttering, and follow Coding practices to make better code readability and maintainability
Work with the cross-functional engineering teams (Firmware team, design team, and product team) to identify the root cause and resolution of device failures by utilizing tools available, e.g. tester and device logs, oscilloscope, logic, and BUS protocol analyzers.
Driving innovation and best practices in SSD test software requirements and Ensuring releases are made within the given commitment date as aligned with Org SSD Releases
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or any related engineering field
5+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
10+ years of relevant engineering experience
Strong knowledge of related programming languages, operating systems, development tools, procedures, and methodologies applicable to test Solutions.
Good programming skills of C , C++/C#, Java, and Basic scripting
Working experience in PCIe/NVMe/SATA or storage will be a plus
Good understanding of MySQL Database
Knowledge of the Unix/Linux environment will be an added advantage
Ability to lead, manage and communicate goals to employees
Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
Ability to lead projects and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to comprehend the details of complex system software and the implications of architectural changes
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
