How will you make an impact in this role?
The successful candidate for this role would be skilled in product design & strategy, UX design and graphic design towards shaping compelling experiences for intelligent solutions, crafting custom web/mobile dashboards for analytics, designing marketing content for digital consumption, and contributing to strategy definitions and executive presentations.
Responsibilities:
User Experience Design:- Conduct user research and analyze user feedback to understand needs and behaviors.- Create user personas, user journeys, and conduct usability testing to validate design concepts.- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to illustrate design ideas.- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to iterate on designs and enhance user satisfaction.
Visual Design:- Design visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces that align with brand guidelines.- Develop high-fidelity mockups and UI assets using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.- Ensure consistency in design language and user interface elements across platforms in accordance to Amex design standards.
Product Design & Strategy:- Define product strategies based on user research insights, benchmarking, market analysis- Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize features and functionalities based on business goals and user needs.- Contribute to the product roadmap and iterative design process to deliver innovative solutions.
Advanced Web Experiences:- Design intuitive and seamless web experiences for AI-driven or intelligent solutions- Create customized designs for implementation on BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau etc- Implement responsive design principles to optimize user experience across devices and screen sizes.- Integrate data visualization techniques to present complex analytics in clear and actionable formats.
Marketing Content Design:- Create engaging marketing materials such as newsletters, videos, message blasts etc- Design graphics and visuals that resonate with target audiences and enhance brand awareness.- Collaborate with strategy teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and design coherence.
Executive Presentations & Strategy Definitions:- Design executive-level presentations that communicate strategy & delivery roadmaps effectively- Translate complex design ideas and data insights into clear and compelling narratives for stakeholders- Provide design rationale and articulate how design decisions align with business objective
Preferred Qualifications & Skills- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio of design projects.- Bachelor's degree or professional certification in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, iMovie/MovieMaker etc.- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, design thinking, and agile methodologies.- Experience designing complex web applications and mobile interfaces.- Strong visual design skills with an eye for typography, layout, and color.- Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and translate findings into actionable design improvements.- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and communicate design decisions.- Familiarity with data visualization principles and tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau etc).- Experience in designing for AI-driven or intelligent solutions.
