A thriving Lending Business is core to the success of American Express and achieving its growth aspirations. The International Proprietary Lending & Product Team's vision is to be a growth engine that supports lending growth strategies across markets.
The Pricing team is responsible for driving revenue growth and improve profitability across international markets, both from the existing portfolio and newly acquired customers. The team leads pricing and yield management strategies by identifying growth opportunities, driving robust business insights, collaborating with business partners, deploying new capabilities, and executing "test and learn" tactics across international markets. Underpinning this is continued focus on governance and guardrails that delivers the best outcomes for our customers and shareholders.
Sr Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining a balance between profitability, competitiveness, and compliance within the organization. In addition, this role provides an opportunity to lead and inform lending growth and pricing strategies through analytics, leveraging internal and external data.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Develop Pricing models and strategies that align with Business goals and market conditions.
Partner with other business units in the company on key Lending decisions across the customer lifecycle and facilitate information sharing.
Execute strategic analysis to identify ADB growth and share opportunities.
Execute strategic analysis to support Lending CMV (Card member value) inputs, forecasts, and validations.
Execute quantitative analyses to diagnose, validate and inform drivers behind revolve rate trends
Develop and maintain forecasting tools of key lending metrics to support business planning.
Implement, and operationalize "Propensity to Borrow" model usage across customer lifecycle to drive Lending growth
Develop, maintain, and improve lending forecasting tools such as Instalment Lending AR Model, Inflationary Toolkit, NCM Models.
Execute quantitative analyses to diagnose, validate and inform necessary actions to maintain or improve Lending margins.
Partner with colleagues across markets and business units to address ADB challenges or evaluate vintage performances
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science Or related fields. MBA or Master's degree preferred
24 months of experience in analytics or finance
Solid understanding of the economics of lending products and key levers of profitability
Knowledge and experience of statistical and analytical techniques. Practical coding experience with SQL. Exposure to Big Data a plus
Understanding of financial, Credit bureau and behavioural data to develop business insights shaping growth strategies and initiatives
Ability to Integrate with cross-functional Business partners across International markets
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Self-Starter with strong organizational skills
