Senior Vice President, Facilities Management & Operations Manager

We're seeking a future team member for the role ofSenior Vice President, Facilities Management & Operations Manager to join our team. This role is located inPune, MH – HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Manages facilities maintenance, operation and management activities through a team of managers and/or contractors responsible for facilities maintenance and management activities across multiple large, highly complex facilities.
Manages the performance of more junior managers, coaching and guiding their daily activities. Sets priorities and allocates resources to align with organization-wide objectives.
Develops capital projects and annual expense plans for the assigned facilities. Has a broad understanding of most skilled trades and guides the procedures and tactics employed by staff technicians.
Ensures all work is in compliance with safety and regulatory (OSHA, HSE) standards as well as any company policies and procedures. Maintains an expert understanding of facilities management concepts including legal regulations and company policies.
Recognized within the business as a leader in addressing facilities maintenance and management matters and establishing policy. Serves as escalation point for critical issues or roadblocks, shepherds' issues through to resolution.
Ensures that the long-term operations of maintaining BNY facilities are executed effectively and in a timely fashion. Leads long-term projects and consultations on facilities issues, questions and problems and collaborates with security, property management and construction professionals to ensure proper maintenance procedures are considered.
Provides guidance and clarification to senior business managers and Facilities Management & Operations staff. Leads resolution of ongoing or emergency/critical facility activities. Establishes operational procedures/processes and ensures team members execute their work accordingly.
Provides critical leadership and direction in business continuity/crisis situations. Evaluates and assesses physical, resource and maintenance requirements and develops plans to meet the needs of staff and the organization within multiple large, highly complex facilities.
Reviews identified maintenance deficiencies, approves resolution plan, and ensures effective execution. Directs long range facilities maintenance planning and capital/equipment requirements. Maintains a substantive understanding of facilities management requirements that exist within the assigned area of responsibility and how the assigned sites function according to regulations.
Establishes and manages relationships with outsourced vendors and service providers assigned to perform maintenance activities. Ensures effective communication of expectations, service levels, etc. and monitors their performance and service effectiveness.
Sources, negotiates and contracts with outside vendors, possibly at a country/regional level. Provides subject matter expertise to management to ensure facilities and properties are in compliance with legal regulations within the business.
Oversees safety conditions and develops and sustains a safe culture and mindset among employees, contractors and service providers. Enforces adherence to policies, procedures and guidelines. Leverages techniques to achieve business objectives and is accountable for leading the resolution of highly complex issues.
Assists corporate management with the establishment of facilities inspection elements across assigned facilities. Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspections.
Leads more junior managers in ensuring the appropriate level of legal regulation awareness and maintenance responsibilities among contractors and staff. Makes decisions, contributes to consensus building and balances facilities management requirements with other business objectives.
Tracks and reports on team metrics and results. Coaches and guides assigned staff on improving the execution of the facilities maintenance activities and achievement of goals.
Manages staff development and talent management processes. Coaches and counsels' staff, determines staffing and compensation recommendations and participates in hiring and termination decisions. Works with other business units and senior management to liaise with legal in relation to regulatory matters.
Enforces compliance and controls within assigned areas. Appropriately represents compliance with policies and standards to corporate management and regulatory bodies and works across the assigned facilities to communicate facilities management matters effectively to management.
Directly manages multiple teams of junior managers and/or contractors and ensures achievement of longer-term goals within the function.
Typically, responsible for facilities maintenance and management activities across multiple facilities or a large/complex facility type. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
10-12 years of total work experience with at least 1-3 years in management preferred.
Additional technical training in HVAC, Electrical Systems, Plumbing, or Mechanical Systems is preferred.
Certified Financial Manager designation is a plus.
