Job Summary
The ONTAP Security team is dedicated to developing and maintaining robust security solutions that protect our customers' data. We focus on implementing and enhancing security protocols and technologies to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data stored in ONTAP. As a Senior Engineer, you will be part of a high-performance team responsible for designing, developing, and testing security features. You will also mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Job Requirements
Design and lead the implementation of security features in ONTAP, including TLS, kernel TLS, Authentication, RBAC, Key Management, and IPsec.
Excellent coding skills in C/C++.
Strong understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.
Deep technical knowledge of systems, networking, and distributed systems
Provide technical leadership and participate in key technical decisions.
Engage with product management to define roadmaps and influence architectural choices to achieve business outcomes.
Engage with customers on escalations and ensure continuous improvement in all areas under your technical purview.
Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance in development and testing activities.
Experience with security technologies such as TLS, OpenSSL, kernel TLS, Authentication, Key Management, and IPSEC is a plus.
Participate in technical discussions within the team and with other groups within Business Units associated with specified projects.
Work on multiple tasks and responsibilities that contribute towards team, department, and company goals.
Enforce best practices for software design and development through appropriate reviews.
Stay updated with new technologies and apply creative ideas to solve problems.
Coding and execution of projects.

Education
12- 18 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's Degree or PhD is preferred.
