What you'll do
The Big Data Analytics Manager delivers actionable insights through analyses of large structured and unstructured datasets from unrelated sources. They ensure the delivery of future predictions based on previous data patterns to provide solutions to business problems and requirements.The Big Data Analytics Manager focusses upon the supervision of a team, who influence business decisions using data science and statistical analysis through the wide ranges of data available to them, ensuring scalability in order to deliver the Big Data strategy and achieve business objectives.Typically reports to the Senior Big Data Analytics Manager.
Who you are
* Develops and delivers key predictive models, statistical models and machine learning-based tools and supports senior managers in the delivery of data science solutions for complex commercial requirements;
* Ensures Big Data solutions comply with data privacy laws;
* Manages the delivery of key packages of work, to time, budget and legislation, in a collaborative manner to meet the needs of business customers;
* Has full people management responsibility for a team of Big Data professionals who contribute to and provide deep technical analytical and data expertise to the business, using a wide variety of available data, to solve complex business problems;
* Builds strong relations and interacts closely with stakeholders across the business to advise and help solve complex problems, including Engineering teams, Technology partners, Business Intelligence and Legal;
* Demonstrates strong communication skills, influencing the exchange of ideas and information in a concise and logical way to reach the desired solutions;
* Uses best practice knowledge to provide thought leadership that supports modelling techniques, algorithms and being able to tune, modify and implement changes to address different business problems / questions.
