The Service Enablement team is responsible for Onboarding and Automation pillars within Mission Control. This team member will play a key role in driving the Automation first framework for Mission Control. You will partner with the Operations and Onboarding teams to identify areas where tasks should be automated, including their design and implementation. You will drive efforts to ensure that the enabled automations are efficient, highly available and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for evaluating and implementing orchestration, automation, and tooling solutions to ensure consistent processes and repetitive tasks are performed with a higher level of accuracy and reduced defects.
Consults with teams to build standards that drive the highest levels of availability.
Function as a leader on a software engineering team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation).
Participate in architectural decisions to ensure software transaction flows are appropriately supported and designed.
Lead code reviews and automated testing.
Debug software components and identify code defects for remediation.
Leads the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments.
Adhere to security and regulatory best practices.
Build, implement and advise on tooling adhering to enterprise standards and/or frameworks.
Demonstrate increased self-reliance to achieve team goals.
Influence team members with creative changes and improvements by challenging status quo and demonstrating risk taking.
Be a productivity multiplier for your team by analyzing your workflow and contributing to enable the team to be more effective, productive, and demonstrating faster and stronger results.
Mentor and guide success within the team.
Education & Experience:
5+ years of software development experience in a professional environment such as: Java, Python.
Experience leading and building software engineering teams designing and building efficient software products in a fast-paced, sophisticated, and dynamic software development environment. Hands-on experience building and using modern REST APIs.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment and their frameworks, Github, Jenkins, Build and Deployment pipelines.
Practical experience on implementation various system integration solutions, such as, APIs and Data integration layers (Batch & Real-Time) like Kafka, Solace.
Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing.
Previous experience with implementing large scale automations like self-healing, pod scaling, job retriggers, component based testing.
Proven understanding of cloud native principles: service discovery, circuit breakers, observability, distributed tracing, automation, and monitoring tools.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required; advanced degree preferred.
