How will you make an impact in this role?
Serving as a core member of an agile team that leads user story analysis and elaboration, designs and develops software applications.
Writing code and unit tests, automation, and conducting code reviews and testing.
Find opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges.
Performing ongoing refactoring of code, using visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement.
Working with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and handling a list of software requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.
Handle your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
Lead and mentor a group of like-minded software engineers.
Build proof of concepts.
Adopt emerging standards while promoting best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience as a Developer, with a focus on JVM languages.
Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and familiarity with NoSQL databases like Couchbase.
Knowledge of microservices architecture, developing and managing RESTful APIs.
Solid experience in unit testing, debugging, and writing maintainable code.
Proficiency in CI/CD processes using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Strong understanding of version control systems such as Git.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Understanding and working experience in Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of serverless architecture and experience building serverless APIs/functions.
Familiarity with Spring framework and Vert.x toolkit.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
