This role in summary
The position is responsible to acquire, apply and thereby learn basic foundational knowledge, theories/concepts, practices, processes & procedures for CAD area of engineering. Under direct supervision utilizes corporate CAD design systems to produce relatively simple models, assembly and detail drawings, layouts that are dimensionally accurate. Manages assigned tasks within scheduled time constraints.
Your responsibilities will include
Effective use plastic & sheet metal part design guide to Create / modify design concepts
Evaluate developed concepts using Design for Manufacturing & Assembly techniques (DFMA)
Perform component / subsystems level CAD analysis, Geometric studies within subsystem
Correct representation of GD&T as per required standard (ASME Y14.5 / ISO 1101)
Comply with ASME Y14.5 / ISO CAD drafting standards for engineering drawings
Comply with CAD data management policies and design change process using Windchill
Understand & review requirement by Interpreting Markups / hand sketches / Task / Verbal descriptions
Identifies potential problems in CAD design changes and articulates to appropriate authority
Plan and organize daily assignments to optimize individual performance and results.
Minimum requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
B.Tech-Mech/ BE Mechanical Engineering
AGE

BE 3 - 5 years
Preferred skills and experiences
Create / update CAD models, drawings, assemblies using robust CAD modeling methods in Creo parametric
Lead CAD task management for other CAD designers and report out
Develop CAD models from neutral formats like IGES, STP, etc as required by project teams
Comply with CAD standards, data management policies and design change process
Ensure expected delivery on Time and at Quality
Additional information
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Proficiency in PTC Creo Parametric
Basic in Top-down assembly / modeling approach
Knowledge of ISO / ASME Y14.5M standards
Knowledge of design considerations for plastics / sheet metal part in Creo
Design for manufacturing / assembly (DFM/A)
Basic understanding of GD&T
Basic knowledge of Windchill (preferred)
