We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associateto join our Treasury Risk - Risk Stress Testing (RST).This role is located inPune.Description:The Treasury department is responsible for the management of BNY Mellon's balance sheet. It assumes a variety of risks in its activities to generate net interest income, largely through the monetization of the firm's deposit base through its investment portfolio of fixed income securities. Additionally, the Treasury drives the allocation of the Firm's financial resources across the company, balancing capital and liquidity needs and demands and works to create the appropriate financial incentives for the businesses using these scarce resources.The Treasury Risk function is the second line of defense responsible for the oversight of liquidity risk, interest rate risk, investment portfolio mark-to-market risk, and capital risk at BNY Mellon. The team monitors Treasury's deployment of the firm's financial resources to businesses across the company, ensuring that risks and trade-offs are appropriately identified, measured, controlled, and reported. Treasury Risk works very actively with the other Risk & Compliance functions impacted by Treasury including Market Risk, Credit Risk, and Model Risk to understand a holistic risk profile of the business' risk taking. As BNY Mellon is a Global Systemically Important Bank (GSIB), the regulatory requirements and expectations for the Treasury and Treasury Risk are at the highest standard in the country.The Risk Stress Testing group is part of Treasury Risk and responsible for the Independent Review & Challenge of the Bank of New York Mellon (BNYM) Capital Forecasting Process. RST provides 2nd Line of Defense (LOD) Review & Challenge while also fostering continuous improvement to the firm's Capital Planning processes.TheSenior Associatewill be part of the Treasury Risk-Risk Stress Testing (RST) team and responsible for supporting a variety of activities including: Comprehensive second line oversight, in collaboration with first line and other second line functions to ensure that all aspects of the capital planning process are functioning as designed and result in sound assessment of BNYM's capital adequacy. Functional coverage includes review of Macroeconomic variable projections, Balance sheet projections, NII projections, Investment portfolio projections etc…Identifying opportunities to enhance the stress testing and risk management processes, in collaboration with the first line of defense (1LOD), including CCAR, other stress testing exercises. Providing an independent assessment of CCAR/MYST program and its results to various governance forums & stakeholders. Design and implementation of the firm's capital planning processes with the goal of identifying.weakness and limitations and fostering continuous improvement to the overall process and governance. Responsibilities and opportunity will evolve with the rapid development of the Risk Stress Testing group, Treasury Risk function, and Risk & Compliance department. Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required4-7 years of relevant experience in financial services is preferred. Strong analytical skills with familiarity of market & liquidity risk are advantageous. Knowledge of (US Bank Specific) Stress Testing (CCAR), Liquidity Risk, Regulatory landscape, is highly desirable. Excellent academic background preferably with a degree in math, statistics, finance, economics, engineering, or a similar field. Desire to work across entities and geographies, and ability to manage conflicts and mediate disagreements to build and enforce an effective risk governance.
