We're seeking a future team member for the role ofSenior Associate to join our Investment Support team. This role is located inPune, Maharashtra – Hybrid.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
The Investment Support team works closely with Systematic Fixed Income Portfolio Managers and Quantitative Researchers in performing a wide variety of tasks including:
Collaborate with the Portfolio Managers and Researchers to identify critical needs and solutions.
Build tools to increase operational efficiencies and unblock team members.
Serve as a point of contact with Insight Investment's Technology, Infrastructure and Development teams
Work with data pipelines including:
Sourcing, cleaning, and storing raw data.
Maintain data integrity
Write Queries / Views / stored procs to extract data.
Systematic modelling of derived insights from data.
Generating reports and dashboards to interpret and share results.
Pipeline maintenance and robustification
For example, checking model generation code into Github and version control.
Maintaining code frameworks for signal simulation, portfolio construction and back-testing for global strategies
Front end development/End User interfaces
Dashboarding for data democratization (Tableau, plotly),
APIs to pull data
Generalist level SQL skills to facilitate ad-hoc scenario-based requests and projects
The candidate would accelerate the team by contributing to:
Creating new data tables, managing existing databases and daily loads.
Analysis, design and development of next generation tools and APIs
Automation or enhancement of current processes to increase operation efficiency.
Support the Portfolio Managers and Researchers in various initiatives.
Create dashboards to present the relevant data and insights.
Communicate results and issues effectively to key stakeholders.
Risk and performance monitoring
Portfolio attribution
Quantitative model execution
Building and enhancing quant models via simulations and scenario analysis
Sourcing and monitoring of market data
Historical analysis of benchmarks & portfolios
Monthly reporting
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Preferred Experience – 3 years - 7 years
Education – Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g. computer science, engineering, data science). Credentials in finance.
Problem-solver mindset; self-motivation; can-do attitude
Should have strong verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of financial markets particularly Fixed Income preferred
Excellent SQL / Python / Excel / VBA skills
Nice-to-have: Dashboarding (Tableau / PowerBI / Shiny / Plotly), R, VBA
Experience with handling / managing large to very-large data sets stored in relational databases
Should be able to channelize daily data sets from vendors and store them in an efficient database schema and structure
Nice-to-have: experience with Machine Learning or ML engineering pipelines
