The Rec & Proofing Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.The role is to ensure allocation of daily tasks to Recon & Proofing Analyst, Identify and execute process improvements, ensuring accurate & timely resolutions of issues and exception raised and motivate the team towards achieving business objective.Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own job.
Responsibilities:
Allocation of daily tasks to Recon & Proofing Analyst
Researching on unmatched reconciliation breaks
Following up for closure for all aged open breaks
Performing calibration on Bi-Weekly interval
Maintain performance metrics to track defects, productivity
Ensure the team provides the best productivity to meet SLA targets
Motivate the team towards achieving business objective
Support training for new staffs. Ensure training and parallel run are well planned and executed without impact on delivery
Effective planning of leaves, backups, trainings of the workforce
Ensure tracking, accurate and timely resolutions of issues and exception raised
Identify and execute process improvements
Maintain good Client relationship & perception
Bridge the knowledge gaps of the teammates
Work collaboration with the team and the manager
Assist unit for audit preparation and necessary actions for clean audit results
Support in Performing daily, weekly and monthly cash and position reconciliations including data entry for general ledger entries as and when required
Maintain communication lines with all stakeholders to keep them informed and to escalate any risks and/or issues appropriately and in a timely manner
Qualifications:
6+ years reconciliation or accounting experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS EXCEL
Good written/oral communication skills
Organized and ability to multitask
Flexible – ability to handle changing priorities
Ability to liaise with demanding clients/service teams
Ability to work independently within a team environment
Exposure to recon based applications such as TLM, Recon Portal, Frontier, etc., this will be an added advantage
Experience in a control, process or reconciliation environment and people management experience adds advantage
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
