Job Description SummaryThe Quality Assurance Leader will be responsible for building and leading a quality assurance team for a web-based, data-driven engineering application. The successful candidate will set QA policy using industry best practices, create and execute test plans for subsets of the application's functionality, report QA metrics to developers and management, and lead the construction of appropriate test case libraries.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesAs the Quality Assurance Leader, you will:Create, manage, and maintain Quality Assurance procedures and policies for a web-based engineering software productBuild and manage a team of Quality Assurance professionalsConstruct and oversee the execution of test plans for various components of the software package, including (but not limited to) mathematical simulation testing, REST API testing, browser-based user interface testing, performance and load testing, and securityAct as the voice of Quality Assurance to development teams, executive sponsors, and customersLead the development of test case libraries, working with subject-matter experts, developers, and customersChoose and implement Quality Assurance tools appropriate to the product, team, and stakeholdersSpecify, compile, and report on Quality Assurance metrics to development teams and managementEducate development teams on Quality Assurance best practicesQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited university or collegeSeven years' experience in software development roles (design, development, QA)Two years' experience leading a Quality Assurance TeamDesired CharacteristicsExperience with test automation and reporting toolsExperience with Lean methodologiesSelf-starter with the ability to initiate and lead projects through to completionAbility to work with geographically-distributed teamsDemonstrated ability to interact with customers, developers, and managementStrong writing, speaking, and communication skillsAdditional Job DescriptionAdditional InformationCompensation GradeSPB2Relocation Assistance Provided:No
