As a member of an international development team working on software development with focus on power management systems. The current SW environment is the SE Industrial Process and Module Control Suite basis and application software framework (EAD business) based on the TIA or PCS7 family which are used depending on the application in the process, Oil and Gas and Marine industry. You would work within an agile / Scrum process environment to ensure progress is made, problems are addressed, and the project is successfully completed. EUective communication with the international team is a crucial aspect of your role, and your goal is to contribute to the development of high-quality software that meets the needs of the SE industry.
How You'll Make an Impact
Development of software for PCS 7/TIA for EAD business and application functions
Prefered in Knowldege in Power Management system application development, interface with IEDs, Relays, electrical and digital devices. Electrical system knowledge.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Utilize Figma to create and maintain design documentation and user interfaces
Designing HMI process screens based on the SCADA system (WinCC, Ignition)
Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation systems
Work independent on backlog items
Provide training and support to end-users of automation systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems
Write, execute, and document manual test cases, detailed test reports and describe potential improvements / required modifications.
What You Bring
• Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation systems (referenced branches)
• Expertise in DCS, Drives and PMS (power management systems)
• Extensive knowledge of SCL/CFC
• Extensive knowledge of Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Understanding of web development frameworks
• Experience with Figma
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
• Experience working in international development teams
• Readiness for worldwide traveling (Meetings, Testing and piloting support during
Commissioning).
• Highly motivated to be part of a team to solve complex challenges for the customer
and in small R&D projects.
• Good technical knowledge of Control, Automation & Instrumentation systems
preferably in Siemens equipment preferrable SIMATIC PCS7 and TIA portal.
• Experienced in execution of software projects.
• Enhanced knowledge electrical network including switchgear, transformer and
generator.
• Knowledge of applicable standards & regulations i.e. IEC, Class requirements etc.
• Knowledge of TIA/PCS7 programming CFC, SCL, WinCC and usage of Simulation
Tools like SIMIT with virtual Controllers or SIMBA BOX/Simulation Unit.
• High analytical skills for customer requirements, like, Control Narratives and Flow
Diagrams.
