Responsible for documenting incidents and problems per the IBM Cloud IaaS Network Services standards and practices. Serves as a technical expert in troubleshooting, problem identification and resolution of networking issues which include switches and routers belonging to Cisco, Arista Juniper etc. Should be conversant with various networking protocols/technologies and should have hands-on experience with various network support tools. Candidate should be able to make decisions based on risk, best practice and business need and clearly articulate the decision points and should have excellent written (including documentation) and verbal (communication) skills. Candidate should be willing to work shift (APAC / EU shift but rarely could be US shift too) and should be passionate about network automation to remove toil from regular work.Properly document incidents and problems per the IBM Cloud IaaS Network Services standards and practices.

Should have hands-on experience with Network support tools such as WireShark, TCPDump, SmokePing, dig, iperf, MTR, etc.
Should have good skills in troubleshooting, problem identification and resolution of networking issues
Should have good/hands-on understating of network protocols/technologies: Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), IPv4/6, Internet Protocol Security (IPSec VPN), Server Load Balancing
The engineer should have the ability and preference to operate with autonomy, ability to change focus when needed, often multiple times within a work week
Should have solid experience creating technical documentation for current and future state network support needs
Ability to make decisions based on risk, best practice and business need and clearly articulate the decision points
Understanding of any scripting language (preferably Python)
Able to logically understand and script manually executed work.
Exposure to global network design and management
