Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.Engineering / R&D at NutanixExplore and enable new hardware technologies to meet our time-to-market goals for new platform generations This team works on new hardware technologies and enables new CPUs to support upcoming platform launches. We also look into other aspects of hardware components like device driver integrations with the kernel used in Acropolis hypervisor and Controller VM and other user space utilities and tools required to operate and manage hardware platforms. The team is split between the US and India, and this is a Hybrid role for the Nutanix Bangalore office in India. You will stay connected to your manager and peers through regular in-person and Zoom meetings and daily Slack chatsYour RoleWork with various Cross functional teams (New Technologies, Acropolis Hypervisor, Core Data path, Infra) under Core Platform Software team to design integration software for the Nutanix distributed clusterUnderstand the whole stack of hardware and software interaction and implement software that governs, monitors, and takes action on anomalies in the system.Implement reliable software management infrastructure for clusters that scale out to hundreds of hosts.Work on running the Nutanix stack on any hardware in the market.Work on making the Nutanix software stack highly reliable and performant via OS level tuning and configuration.Debug customer issues and help resolution in a timely manner.What You Will BringBachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.1-3 years of experience in a product company in a similar roleDeep understanding of x86 server Architectures, Storage, Networking, Operating Systems and Server Virtualization technologiesSolid understanding of Linux OS and distributed systemsAdvanced knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.Exposure to Micro Services Architectures is a big plus
