Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to oversee our small assembly line in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining & adhering to high-quality standards & regulations, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:Supervise daily operations of the assembly line to ensure production targets are met.
Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Quality Control:Monitor and maintain quality standards, conducting regular inspections and audits.
Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
Team Management:Lead and train assembly line staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Safety Compliance:Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
Documentation:Maintain accurate records of production metrics, quality reports, and maintenance logs.
Cost Management:Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with ISO standards and compliance.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
