Our Operations Central Team - Application Development and Support (OCT ADS) department focuses on improving Micron's manufacturing capability by encouraging innovation, accelerating the best ideas, and keeping a focus on eliminating waste and inefficiency. We are a central organization driving improvement and excellence at Micron's global manufacturing sites. This often includes developing software that enables senior leaders and engineers to make informed decisions and implement the best practices without error.
We develop, deploy, and maintain applications that support our departments goals. We use agile methodologies, partner with other IT teams, and enjoy a safe, collaborative, and innovative work environment.
Responsibilities Include
Manage a team that develops, deploys, and supports software systems to Microns global network of manufacturing facilities.
Guide and mentor, a technical team of software developers.
Manage the performance of your team consistent with Micron's standards
Understand and evaluate new technology, with the goal of continually improving your team's capability and performance.
Actively participate in project planning, guiding project team to meet their objectives with an efficient and supportable IT solution.
Be an active contributor in OCT leader activities and initiatives.
Qualifications
Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and memory devices
Understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle
Ability to lead multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Ability to communicate effectively with global partners
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field of study
Minimum 8 years of IT experience and 2 years in leadership positions.
Preferred Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field
8+ years' experience
Experience developing user interfaces
Experience developing web applications using the JavaScript framework
Experience with API development and consumption
Experience using cloud frameworks. Azure experience is most preferred.
Ideal language competency in C#, SQL, Angular, JavaScript
