It's an exciting opportunity to be part of India Business LFO team and to enhance your knowledge about the local India business by being amid business leaders and partnering with them in supporting the growth of our India business. This role will support ICS side of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in Financial Reporting & Analysis, Planning and forecasting activities and assist in finance support to the business decision making process for the ICS Business in India. The role would require the incumbent to actively engage in analyzing business performance and support decisions to grow market share and enhance profit margin.
Responsibilities-
·Comprehensive financial planning for India ICS business, including forecasting key business drivers such as Billings, Accounts Receivables and Accounts in force and help devising annual and long-range plans. The comprehensive financial planning includes indicating the projected performance of ICS business in India market over a future calendar year thus reflecting the potential that India market has for AXP.
·Providing consultative and independent finance decision support to business heads on various initiatives and CBAs such as new product launches, existing product refreshes, acquisition dynamics and strategic marketing campaigns to drive growth in the market.
·Detailed review of the ICS P&L along with variance analysis and identifying key trends such as increasing costs and help business remediate it.
·Drive the variance analysis of financials and key indicators and ensure major variances are researched and accounted for prior to monthly senior management business unit reviews
·Coordinate finance activities across different business units in Blue Box and with other Finance constituents (Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Audit, etc.,) to develop and maintain budget and quarterly forecast on legal entity basis, Support the ICAAP by developing LRP for the legal entity
Qualifications & Academic Background
• 10-12 years of work experience in Finance decision support/ FP&A or equivalent role .
• Chartered Accountant, MBA or equivalent professional experience
Functional Skills/Capabilities
·In-depth understanding of Amex businesses
·Demonstrated ability to develop sophisticated financial models and draw value-add insights from large amounts of financial data
·Knowledge of data mining and analytics languages / techniques [e.g., SQL , Python, SAS] preferred to extract data from cornerstone for analytics
Technical skills
·Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
·Knowledge of accounting processes and systems (TM1, Oracle, etc.,)
·Working knowledge of Data analytics platforms like Cornerstone and visualization tools like Tableau
Behavior Skills/Capabilities
·Strong communication skills, both written and oral; ability to interact with and build consensus across multiple levels of the organization
·Demonstrated abilityto solve unstructured problem statements and handle ambiguity
·Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams and understand key business issues and concerns from multiple perspectives
·Experience of managing people
