EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data capabilities.The role is an integral part of EDDS and supports Customer 360, an AXP-wide capability that provides a global enterprise view of entities (that have or had an American Express relationship with at least one product or service globally), comprehensive insights and linkages. This is fundamentally reshaping our ecosystem and the way we engage with our customers by leveraging industry leading Amex data assets, next-gen machine learning algorithms and Big Data environment.We are seeking an experienced data science professional and problem-solver to serve asManager- Data Science and Analytics, C360. Key responsibilities for this role would be development of advanced matching algorithms/frameworks and arbitration strategies as well as serving analytical needs for C360. Part of this role will be to work with platform owners for deployment of data science solutions to improve customer matching globally, enrich data and enhance accuracy to drive Amex economics in various areas – marketing, new accounts acquisition and onboarding, risk management, customer servicing, customer management, credit & collections etc.Job ResponsibilitiesConceptualize and develop advanced matching algorithms and frameworks for entity resolution (Individual and Business) globallyCreate frameworks and solutions to capture cross-customer linkages and networksE2E ownership of analytical needs for the productMonitor and analyze data quality and intelligence that is generated by algorithmsDevelop systematic way to identify gaps in existing algorithms and processesProvide thought leadership to product owners and tech leads on platform architecture to ensure seamless deployment of data science solutionsPartner with product owners and tech leads to deploy data science solutions in an Agile environmentMaintain an external lens to inform decisions and business strategiesLead new initiatives, prepare project plans and other supporting information.Lead, mentor and build a high performing and highly engaged team with diverse talentMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in development and deployment of data science solutionsBachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information security, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other relevant qualificationLeadership experience in leading/creating high performing teams with diverse skillsExperience with conceptualizing and building entity resolution (matching) algorithms and frameworksExperience with delivering business solutions across a variety of platforms and technologies such as Big Data, Pyspark, Hive, Scala, PythonExperience with applying rigorous solution-oriented analyses to deliver scalable solutions in the product spaceExposure to implementation of complex data productsStrong program management, analytical & problem-solving skillsAbility to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problemsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignmentWe back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
