Role and Responsibilities
This position will primarily support the External Reporting function and will be part of Regulatory Reporting team. In the fast-evolving space of Regulatory Reporting, this position will play a key role in setting-up of and execution of the automation and efficiency priorities for the broader team. The incumbent will work very closely with the individual report owners, Automation COE and Technology teams in executing long-term automation strategy for the team. The job would entail the following activities:
·Act as a point of contact to support & handle automations and improvement opportunities across all Regulatory reports in scope
·Understand Regulatory reporting platform, architecture and the report logics build to maintain and run automated reports.
·Supporting the continuous improvement of processes and stay updated with the latest Regulatory changes.
·Work closely and coordinate with various Subject Matter Experts and External Reporting leaders.
·Partner with Report owners to understand regulatory reporting requirements and drive prioritization & delivery of automation processes through close collaboration with business stakeholders.
·Drive implementation of analytical and reporting processes, procedures and systems using the Company's control framework.
·Support/lead special projects including collaborating with American Express Technologies on key automation initiatives and enhancing policies and procedures around the regulatory reporting process.
·Assist in design & maintenance of different automation initiatives, ensuring these automations are being carried out timely & accurately
Requirements:
·Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting/ computer science/ Information system
·Experience working in financial services or other highly supervised environment preferred.
·Strong fin-tech skills with ability to define system requirements, design and implement Finance systems
·Strong relationship building and conflict resolution skills
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Positive attitude and demonstrated strength as a quick learner
·A self-starter, with a proactive approach and a passion to consistently deliver high quality service and exceed expectations
·Should have problem solving, planning and analytical skills to facilitate and focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Project management skills and experience will be of distinct advantage.
