Manager - Consumer Insights

POSITION PURPOSE:
Ensure that consumer and shopper are the foundation of our business strategy, planning and execution. As a part of the business team, you will be working closely with Marketing, Finance, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Sales, R&D, and others, constantly exploring new opportunities for business growth.
Your key to success will be your ability to gain an understanding of the business challenges facing assigned brands, identifying knowledge gaps and prioritizing critical learning needs.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of this role, Manager, Consumer Insights,are to:
Ensure that consumer and shopper are the foundation of our business strategy, planning and execution.
As a part of the business team, you will be working closely with Marketing, Finance, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Sales, R&D, and others, constantly exploring new opportunities for business growth.
Your key to success will be your ability to gain an understanding of the business challenges facing assigned brands, identifying knowledge gaps and prioritizing critical learning needs;
Translate business partner questions into optimal learning plans designed to answer key questions relating to brand positioning, copy testing, and new product development among other brand focus areas
Be fluent in key research designs, methods and analyses including but not limited to qualitative and quantitative analysis
Manage corresponding research budget to ensure that market research efforts support business objectives and maximize investment. Develop insightful recommendations from research results and synthesiswith other data sources to positively impact the business challenge/opportunity and successfully guide the ability for brands to meet their volume and profit commitments.
Partner with Analytics & Insights counterparts to create compelling presentations and POV's to share with multiple levels of stakeholders, including Brand Marketing, Marketing Management and Senior Leadership; Champion a deep understanding of consumers among marketing and extended team members, including advertising agency, sales, digital and media agencies and Research & Development (among others), to ensure that brand initiatives and activations are consumer-led.
Lead creation of brand audits, consumer shopper journey, and design targets for the Brand Plan process and ensure that this information has a direct impact on future plans;
Serve as "point person" in the collaborative partnership with external research vendors;
Ensure maximum Return on Investment for all projects and ensure results lead to aligned and actionable recommendations.
Negotiate, in concert with Procurement, favorable pricing and timing on a per project basis.
Ensure that all research adheres to compliance and quality standards in design, execution, and analysis.

WHO YOU ARE:
Master's in business administration with at least 7-10 years of market research experience; must have expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies;
Strong Excel & Macro skills are preferred
Strong English communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) is a must
Proactive and collaborative while able to provide independent, objective viewpoint based on data, business experience
Ability to synthesize disparate data sources/observations into concise and compelling insights and communication
Experience working with syndicated, social/digital media and/or other big data sets a plus
Creative in developing solutions and applying new techniques with an entrepreneurial mentality

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
3-5 years spent on a mix of qualitative and quantitative research with
A reputed research agency is preferred
Experience in CPG (FMCG), analytics & or consulting is a plus
