We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer with skills in AWS, and experience of running public infrastructure to support and operate complex hybrid environments for large enterprises.

On-call:You will join a weekly rota and can expect to be on-call roughly once every 6 weeks (on-call bonus provided).

Primary Objectives
Design and deliver innovative Proof of Concepts for customers
Deliver high-quality work to customers as part of consulting engagements that can be delivered through workshops and solutions architecture designs.
Client-facing consultancy experience within large enterprises, but happy to deliver to SMBs
Lead critical deployments and align with the needs of the customer
Ensure high quality delivery of the cloud service from the technical perspective
Contribute to RFI/RFP requests
Identify and drive technical/deployment improvements
Consult with our customer's individual AWS project teams regarding architecture, compliance, and all other requirements
Enable the DevOps projects for successful production state
Collect ideas from the projects and feed back to Cloud Management Office and architecture management
Identify possible risks in the projects' deployments and help mitigate them without direct technical hands-on
Lead technical root cause analysis
Create direct value for the individual projects, not slideware
Manage production change approval process
Job Requirements:
You have built specialist and demonstrable architectural knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Cloud platform architecture, Cloud-native application architecture (including DevOps and CI/CD)Enterprise and business architecture, Security and governance.
You should have demonstrable knowledge on AWS Landing Zone framework with experience in design and delivery of centralized AWS services.
Experienced in writing design documents and collecting functional and non-functional requirements.
Experience in deploying and configuration of CI/CD pipelines
Experience in multi account/subscription IaC structures
Practical experience in DevOps and SysOps model
You work in a joint team with the customer's IT, Amazon Web Services ProServ and Rackspace with a high degree of mutual respect and cooperation
Be a technical ambassador between the customer's Cloud Management Office and Rackspace PS service delivery
AWS Solution Architect certification is highly preferred
