YOUR ROLE
To develop advanced high speed PHY designs as a part of our analog/mixed signal PHY team. Person will be required to work on differentiated sub-micron technologies and customize the solutions to optimize PPA as per the requirements. The person should also have the ability to come out with innovative solutions utilizing the expected customizations and technology advantages to bring value to the customers.
Major responsibilities include
Developing Custom PHY designs Links solutions suitable for customer needs
Working on innovation and develop new architectures for best-in-class solution
Working on new development to add value in SOCs
Coaching and mentoring junior design engineers
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
It is desirable that the candidate has in-depth understanding of analog and mixed-signal design, with hand-on design experience of PHY circuits. Specific areas of expertise/knowledge required:
Voltage & current references, LDO regulator, high-accuracy comparator and amplifier
High speed custom digital circuits like serializer, de-serializer, clock divider and synchronizer
Voltage and current mode transmitters, duty-cycle corrector
TX/RX equalization techniques and circuits (e.g. CTLE, DFE)
Transmission line theory, concept of PDN, device mismatch, system linearity and stability, low power design
Following areas would be a significant Plus:
Skills in scripting and automation
Knowledge of common PHY protocols (DP, USB, Ethernet etc.)
Concept of Quality in design and IP delivery
Understanding of behavioral modeling of Analog circuits and RTL-to-GDS flow
Ability to make trade-offs between power, performance and area appropriately to meet the requirements of the product
Exposure to all stages of the design cycle: initial concept, specification, implementation and testing, documentation and support
