You are a member of an international team working on pioneering solutions for our global projects that will shape the energy industry of tomorrow.
Embedded in a team of specialists, you take responsibility for worldwide Oil & Gas projects, executed by the Business Area EAD within the Transformation of Industry.
As I&C Engineer you will contribute significantly to the successful realization of our process plant project by designing and specifying control, measurement, and cabling systems. You will master interesting technical challenges within a project team and work closely with the project management. You will work with our customers on global industrial projects in all project phases, from supporting the bid manager to handing over the project to the customer and play a key role in shaping the path to a sustainable energy transition.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Independent management and performance of engineering tasks in the I&C area
- Translation of customer requirements into technical solutions
- Ensuring consistency of all interfaces and requirements within the system
- Clarification of project-specific requirements with other departments
- Preparation of specifications and other instrument configuration documents: Instrument lists; specification, sizing, calculation and selection of field instrumentation and valves including assembly drawings and additional installation material such as cables, wiring material, junction boxes, supports and trays.
- Specification and design of the control and emergency system by elaboration of Cause &Effect diagrams, safeguarding narratives, and control narratives. Third party packages control integration and communication. Control logics development and third-party logics review.
- Creation of documentation and drawings for automation and control technology: signal lists, signal assignment, plant typical wiring sketches, instrument loop diagrams (ILD).
- Participation in safety considerations and their application: HAZOP and LOPA procedure development, assistance and support; SIL procedure development and assignment, SIF architecture implementation, Safety Requirements Specification (SRS) preparation, SIL Verification, in accordance with IEC61508 and IEC61511.
- ATEX classification engineering (Emissions List and Drawings) and instrumentation and control material compliance, as per IEC60079.
- Participation in the creation of flow diagrams and P&ID. (ISA S5.1, KKS, RDS-PP).
- Technical clarifications with suppliers, manufacturers, and installation companies. Bidding, specifications and requirement specifications for vendors and subcontractors (I&C cabinets, detectors, cables, etc.),
We don't need superheroes, just super minds.
- Graduate engineer in the field of Automation technology, Instrumentation or process engineering.
- Professional experience of around 8-10 years in execution of instrumentation and control projects in the refinery, petrochemical or chemical field and in the energy or renewable sector.
- Proven field experience in construction phase.
- Experience in Factory Acceptance Test FAT and/or Site Acceptance Test SAT.
- Experience in the design and preparation of instrumentation documentation in all phases of the project.
- Experience in project planning and coordination of internal and external partners (suppliers, production, international engineering, etc.) as well as customers.
- Professional knowledge and experience in explosion protection and plant safety.
- Knowledge of modern tools and technologies for project work, such as COMOS, AutoCAD EPlan or similar software.
- Experience in project management, document management and occupational health and safety.
- Very good knowledge of English
