JOB DESCRIPTIONUnderstand product requirementsCreate HW architecture for the designDesign various building blocks for the circuits and subsystems involvedSelect components to be used in the design based on quality, obsolescence, alternatives and costCreate schematic for the sub-systems in the design and the complete HWDecide and design the inter component Bus for sub-system interfacingDesign and develop optimal designs for space, cost and reliability metricsDesign and develop Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)Review and manage activities of other design engineers in the teamPrepare documents for PCB assembly, schematics and fabrications using CAD softwareDesign layouts to develop high-speed and reliable circuitsAnalyse and resolve any design-related issueProvide support to PCB engineering and manufacturing teamsProvide revisions based on the specifications of customers and productsReview and recommend improvements to existing designsAssist teams in preparing test procedures to verify PCB functions.Lead Continuous improvement and innovation cycles in the productsSKILLS REQUIRED:Strong knowledge of Electronics designStrong knowledge of PCB designWork Experience with software such as KiCAD, Altium etcClear understanding of PCB layer stack upKnowledge of PCB design rulesAbility to work in a teamCustomer interactionProduction realization management
