How will you make an impact in this role?
As a member of the Digital Transformation & Technology team within Global Treasury Controllership (GTC), you will represent GTC in managing the critical Treasury Products jointly owned and used by GTC and Treasury teams.
Responsibilities:
Project Management
Support project management of key projects.
Maintain tracking and status, partner with GTC and Treasury teams to drive progress.
Identify potential risk points and escalations, and ensure manager is kept aware.
Production Support
Partner with Technologies, GTC, Treasury to support escalation and resolution of production issues.
Perform analytics to identify issue trends and opportunities for improvement.
Represent GTC in production support and governance calls.
Product Owner
Support GTC projects with both AET and outside vendor.
Maintain pipeline of development requests from users.
Write user stories using Rally to detail requirements.
Attend daily stand-up calls for AET projects and attend weekly calls with vendor on projects, as needed.
Support development of long-term Roadmap.
Work with Technology, Automation COE and customers to drive automation and analytics of processes within GTC
Critical Factors to Success
Excellent organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong relationship management skills with proven track record of positively collaborating, influencing and coordinating with internal and external partners.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and be comfortable working in ambiguous situations.
Keen interest to learn and understand GTC and Treasury processes
Comfortable in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience with excel VBA, data visualization tools, such as Tableau and other will be a plus
Minimum (Preferred) Qualifications
2+ years of financial services accounting/controllership experience or relevant Amex experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other equivalent
Prior experience on product ownership, production support or automation preferred
