Function Description
Card & Merchant Accounting and Control (CMAC) team in Global Financial Operations, Controllership, manages the foundational accounting for Cardmember spend, Remittances and Merchant payments along with various other operational accounting processes that is core to a Credit Card domain. The team liaison with broader controllership, technology / product, and servicing teams to ensure financial integrity is embedded in the end-to-end process.
How will you make an impact in this role?
This B28 role will manage research and clearance of merchant payment accounts for merchant COE process which includes Merchant rejects, Long term reserve, SE debit balance and Gross Pay transactions and related accounts. In addition to it role will also be responsible to perform other critical activities like clearance of aging variances, Daily balancing, Month on Month trend analysis to identify any anomaly in general ledgers, manage queries from key stakeholders, and support ongoing/upcoming business and technology initiatives like FALCON, Project ORBIT, etc.
Responsible for maintaining financial integrity of all merchant processes.
Ability to drive self and team goals with continuous focus on process improvement.
Demonstrated effective thought leadership skills and creativity, as well as strong analytical skills.
Ensure operational resilience through knowledge retention and building back-ups in the team.
Be able to proactively highlight, communicate and mitigate risks.
Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders across the organization and build relationships.
Be able to contribute to the team strategy and long-term plans.
Ability to manage multiple projects to support enterprise goals.
Ensuring financial integrity by reviewing financial information and resolving for any aberration in the financials
Effectively coordinate with technology for development / automation opportunities

Minimum Qualifications
B.com with 3-6 years or MBA/post grad with 2-4 years of work experience
US GAAP knowledge and Audit experience is a plus.
Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, BI and other data applications like Cornerstone, TM1, etc.

Well-developed analytical skills, ability to understand the linkages to processes.
Demonstrated Accounting expertise.
Ability to think innovatively and to pursue ideas with conviction.
Excellent team player with strong Inter-Personal skills and communication skills
Demonstrate leadership skills needed to create, develop and communicate with diverse work force.
