JR51088 Facility – ENGINEERING LEAD / MGR (Evergreen)
As the Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for oversee and manage project execution for engineering design, leading the site engineering team to ensure that the project is successfully delivered on time and within budget, managing change and assessing the operational and financial risks for proposed construction project plans and process for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management tasks. You will be responsible to provide engineering services and specifications for the planning, design, construction, Start-up, and Commissioning of all Facilities systems in support of the project. You will participate in Project Design and Scope Development, Documentation, and Control Change, Vendor Selection, Project Tendering, and onsite Discipline Project Safety, Coordination and Execution for all Facilities systems.
Responsibilities and tasks:
• Fully responsible for the management of a project based at a Micron Facility.
• Primary focal point for project execution.
• Responsible for the safe delivery of projects to budget and schedule.
• Coordinate System Design between Global Facilities Design Team, Global Facilities Construction Team, Local Project Team, AE (Architectural / Engineering), PMC (Project Management Consultancy), GC (Generator Contractor), Contractors, Vendors and etc.
• Document Discipline Scope
• Management Discipline Scope Change Process and documentation.
• Provide Project Procurement Technical Support
• Ensure all Project scope is executed to Safety Standards and requirements. Review all Job plans for high risk during construction in discipline related areas /scope.
• Track and Report progress weekly on Project progress, risk, schedule, cost for Discipline
• Oversee Disciplines installation Q&A assurance and Testing and Commissioning Activities.
• Coordinate and Lead Project Closeout activities for Discipline; Punch listing and verification, Documentation and System Handover
• Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution between engineering and construction discipline.
• Work closely with Teams from Global and Site Facilities, Global EHS, Global Procurement, Corporate Finance as well as external industry agencies and consultants to assure coordination of design and construction with all working groups.
• Review work packages, installation methods and schedule.
• Participate in schedule reviews and provide input to project risk register.
• Liaise closely with general contractor to ensure project progression in accordance with approved plan.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or any related field of study. Master's Degree desired.
• Qualification or Membership of a major Industry Professional body is desirable.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel on a regular basis.
• Good analytical and organizational abilities required to ensure effective management and decision making.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration with other groups, internally and externally
• Proven ability to solve problems across multi-functional and multi-cultural groups within and outside facilities. Proven ability to multi-task and lead team to meet challenging deadlines and goals. Effective delegation skills.
• Strong ability in English speaking and writing, be able to communicate with English speaking engineers both verbally and by writing.
Education Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in a Engineering, Construction, Architecture or any related field of study. Master's Degree desired.
Experience Required:
• Minimum of 15 years working experience consist of 10 years' experience in construction with minimum 5 years in managerial role as an Engineering Lead/Manager
Experience Desired:
• Lead or actively involved in global construction project management facility engineering efforts
• Demonstrable experience in the management of multi-disciplined semiconductor projects and/or other relevant industries is strongly preferred.
• Experience as a construction project manager in EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management).
• Practiced in project control mechanisms and with commercial and technical risk assessments.
• Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.
• Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors.
