Overview:Pure Storage is looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer/Team Lead to take charge of leading the technical development and implementation efforts for transitioning the Professional Services organization from KeyedIn to ServiceNow. As a leader, you will design scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions for the new platform, mentor other developers, and ensure alignment with the strategic roadmap.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large ServiceNow applications and ensuring that they serve the evolving needs of the Professional Services organization, while continuously improving the maturity of development practices, automating business processes, and providing holistic solutions to business problems.
What You'll Do:
Solution Design:
Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of ServiceNow projects and enhancements, with a focus on Professional Services requirements.Provide solid expertise in ServiceNow applications (ITSM, CSM, ITOM, and IRM), while ensuring alignment with Professional Services business needs.Collaborate with the Technical Architect, Product Owner, and other stakeholders to finalize the design for ServiceNow initiatives, including automation of Professional Services workflows and resource management.
Solution Development:
Design and develop complex workflows, business rules, and automation within ServiceNow that support the Professional Services team, with a particular focus on the transition from KeyedIn.Lead the development of integrations between ServiceNow and other systems (e.g., Salesforce, KeyedIn), utilizing REST/SOAP APIs and integration tools.Oversee and contribute to the coding effort, ensuring solutions are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the business's long-term goals.Identify trends, prioritize root cause analyses, and collaborate with other teams to prioritize development efforts and ensure timely delivery.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.Perform regular code reviews and ensure the team is following Pure Storage's coding, security, and performance standards.Serve as a primary point of contact for architecture reviews and troubleshooting efforts, especially for Professional Services workflows.
Testing and Deployment:
Lead unit testing efforts and coordinate with other teams to ensure smooth deployment of new ServiceNow features for the Professional Services platform.Collaborate with the change management team to ensure successful deployments and minimal disruption to operations.
Documentation:
Oversee the documentation of all development and maintenance work, ensuring system maintainability and continuity for the Professional Services team.Contribute to training materials for end-users and support staff.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with the Technical Architect, Product Owner, and stakeholders from Professional Services to ensure alignment with business goals.Actively participate in project planning sessions and team meetings, ensuring clear communication of technical requirements and timelines.
Continuous Improvement:
Regularly review development processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose enhancements to ensure continuous optimization of the Professional Services platform.Provide input into the strategic roadmap for ServiceNow and Professional Services platforms.
Compliance:
Ensure all development conforms to company policies, standards, and best practices, including security, scalability, and performance requirements.Lead efforts to maintain compliance with Pure Storage's IT policies and procedures, conducting regular code reviews to ensure quality.
Requirements:
BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent. (Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred).
6+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, with leadership experience in large implementations.
Expertise in ServiceNow modules (ITSM, CSM, ITOM), with experience in custom workflows and automation for Professional Services organizations.Experience integrating ServiceNow with other platforms using APIs (REST/SOAP) and tools like Snaplogic, Boomi, AWS Lambda, and Zapier.Experience with KeyedIn, Project Management systems, or other PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools is a plusSome expertise in Salesforce, Netsuite, and SAP is preferredProven leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring a team of developers.
ServiceNow System Administrator or Developer certification is preferred.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
