American Express is embarking on an exciting transformation on building the next generation customer first ecosystem for democratizing Machine Learning in Amex on the Cloud. This includes building ad deploying reusable AI/ML components to solve unique and challenging business requirements in the space of document and image processing, NLP, Chatbots, You will be part of an energetic Machine Learning team within Technology, to drive strategic planning and a cohesive set of technology and machine learning solutions enabling data and platform transformation, by collaborating across all channel teams and the critical technology platforms that support Colleague and Customer Experiences. Responsibilities:
• Working closely with AI/ML Research teams, Data Scientists and Product Owners in analyzing business features and refining them to appropriately support design and build activities.
• Performing all technical development for assigned applications including architecture, design, developing prototypes, writing new code and API's and performing unit and assembly testing of developed software also as needed
• Coding and technical implementation of re-usable ML solutions
• Enabling the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments
• Combine Data Science and Engineering skills to solve interesting problems that directly and greatly impact millions of individuals worldwide
• Help craft the direction of machine learning and artificial intelligence at AmEx
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics or related fields.
•3 to 5 years of software development experience.
•Strong analytical skills and programming skills, with experience with deployment in production environment.
•3+ years hands-on experience with the following technologies:
•JAVA
•HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJs, ReactJs
•SQL/ NoSQL
•REST API and services
•Cloud Technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), Reverse proxy (Envoy, Nginx), API serving framework (Flask,Gunicorn, FastAPI), Performance Monitoring tools
•One of the popular Machine Learning technologies such as such as ScikitLearn, TensorFlow, Keras etc
•Experience in specialized areas such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Recommendation Systems
•Implementation or working experience of Continuous Integration and Continues Delivery using tools and automation capabilities such as JUnit, Mocking, TestNG, Jenkins, Git, Stash and Jira
•Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, Hadoop Ecosystem, Spark, Exposure to ML serving and Accelerators such as OpenVino, ONNX
is a plus.
•Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
•Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners
