About the role:
The position is for an Endpoint Specialist within the Endpoint team at Pure Storage. This team is tasked with the management, support, and enhancement of the end-user experience across all endpoints, including Macs, Windows, and Linux systems. The ideal candidate for this role is expected to quickly familiarize themselves with the Endpoint environment and contribute effectively in a short period. This position reports directly to the IT Endpoint Manager.
Responsibilities:
Endpoint Management:Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of endpoint devices, including desktops, virtual desktop, laptops, and mobile devices.
EndPoint Security:Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect endpoint devices from threats such as malware, viruses, and unauthorized access.
Application Management:Manage software installations, updates, and patches on endpoint devices to ensure they are running the latest and most secure versions.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to endpoint devices, providing timely support to end-users.
Monitoring and Reporting:Continuously monitor endpoint performance and security, generating reports and metrics to track the health and status of endpoint devices.
Compliance:Ensure endpoint devices comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Collaboration:Work closely with other IT teams, including network, security, and helpdesk, to ensure seamless integration and support for endpoint devices.
Documentation:Maintain accurate documentation of endpoint configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Training:Provide training and support to end-users on the proper use and maintenance of endpoint devices.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:Proven experience in endpoint management, IT support, or a similar role.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in endpoint management tools (e.g Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCCM, JAMF or Vmware WorkSpace 1), operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
Security Knowledge:Strong understanding of endpoint security best practices and technologies.
Problem-Solving:Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Team Player:Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Certifications:Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Apple Certified Support Professional) are a plus.
Manage and support ~7k Endpoints across platforms e.g Macs,Windows & Linux
Patching of ~7k endpoints on monthly cadence across Endpoints platforms e.g Macs,Windows & Linux
Setup Build script and automation using Powershell,Shell scripting ,python etc
Mass rollout of application across Endpoints platforms e.g Macs,Windows & Linux
Collaborating and contributing with SecOps on Endpoint security control and compliance
Amazon Workspace VDIs(~400) Endpoint management
Major Operating systems versions rollout for Macs & Windows Endpoints.
Setup support documentation and conduct training for support teams across globally distributed teams
API integration with various Endpoint support tools(Good to have)
Managing and supporting Endpoint digital certificates.
Collaborating with various cross functional teams on initiatives.
To be able to collaborate with Global team(based out of USA) outside of their normal work hours
Setup/Create custom reporting based on business requirements
Document the Endpoint Architecture & create the SOPs

Hard Skills:
6+ Years of experience in Administration and maintenance of EndPoint tooling(Vmware Workspace 1,JAMF & Amazon Workspaces VDIs)
5+ Years in Expertise Managing Endpoints(Windows,Linux) and Mobile devices(iOS & Android) using 3+ Vmware Workspace 1
3+ Years Hands on experience managing Win10 & Win 11 feature updates
3+ Years in AWS WorkSpace1 VDI workstation management
3+ Years of experience Linux Ubuntu(workstation class) management
5+ Years Hands on experience with Zero touch deployment for both Mac/Windows
5+ Years in Writing knowledge base articles for various support teams
Proficient in documenting project work and keeping it up-to-date
5+ Years in Executing mass rollouts on endpoints (Windows, Macs, and Linux)
Training support teams on ongoing projects
Proficient in utilizing PowerShell, Shell Script, or Python for automating build or manual processes
10+ Years in Background in End User Compute space
Expertise in managing Macs through JAMF Pro.
Expertise with patch management for Windows,Macs & Linux Endpoints with Vmware WorkSpace 1 & JAMF Pro
Creating Standard Operating Procedures and Architectural Documentation
Tailored audit and reporting configuration in Vmware Workspace 1 Intelligence as required
BYOD management using Vmware Workspace 1
Skilled in the integration of Splunk with JAMF and Workspace ONE (WS1), with the capability to modify existing reports and develop new ones as necessary
