Director, Software Engineering

Position Overview:The Director of Software Engineering will oversee large aspects of software engineering activity for Diligent in our new Technology Centre of Excellence. This role will lead teams of highly talented engineers developing the industry leading products which form the Diligent product portfolio and deliver on our ambitions to redefine the way organizations are governed. This role will serve as senior technical authority within the software development teamKey ResponsibilitiesExperienced leader with strong strategic capabilities and excellent knowledge in most of technical capabilities related to the area. Able to drive technology roadmap and organization development of the area. Understands company goals and portfolio strategy and able to communicate and break down those to the area.Has excellent customer understanding related to the area, follows latest technology standards and able to identify new strategic opportunities based on that.Has solid understanding of financial metrics, able to plan and execute budget targets, including optimal resourcing.Create a positive team environment with an open communication culture.Create a coaching culture leading by example across teamsRequired Experience/Skills10+ years in managing managers experience of phone-based Software Application/Technical Support, supporting end usersExcellent communication skills with internal stakeholdersHave a strong analytical ability to resolve technical issues and a deep level of product knowledgeAdvocate for the Voice of the Customer -Make decisions and prioritise workload with the customer in mindRepresent the Diligent Brand.
